A thoroughly enjoyable breakfast experience. Great tasting breakfast food. Fast and friendly service. And, one the best views I've ever seen at a breakfast joint. (kicked myself that I didn't take a photo from inside the restaurant). Highly, highly recommended stopping by and treating yourself.

Fast service and the best pancakes I've ever had! We stumbled upon this place by accident. Worth the drive!

If I could give zero stars I would. They deserve it. The hostess, waitress, and the girl that brought the food out were all disinterested in our presence. We seemed to be inconveniencing them. Food was nothing special. Overpriced. I attribute their popularity to the location on the river and it being in a tourist area.

From Charlotte, NC and was traveling with my parents to spend the day driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I did some research and decided to give Peter's a try. My mom loves pancakes and we were looking forward to getting a window table with a view of the river.

Ultimately the day was great but out had nothing to do with Peter's Pancakes & Waffles.

This was my 2nd visit to this restaurant. The first time, the food was good and the service was excellent. This time, I went by myself and the ham and cheese omelet that I ordered had 2 little slivers of grated cheese and the eggs were overcooked. VERY dry omelet. Well, I would've asked for another one but the server didn't come back to check on me for 8-10 minutes. I was in the corner table and didn't get another visit from her until my tea glass ran completely out : (. I told her about the omelet anyway, she just said sorry and handed me the bill. Didn't EVEN look at the uneaten omelet. Then the guy at the register seemed nice but didn't even ask if everything was ok. Oh well. Last visit to this place.

Fantastic breakfast. You have to try the biscuits and gravy. Be prepared to wait in line because everybody in town knows this is the place to get a good old fashioned breakfast. Well worth the short wait.
