Excellent spot to escape the summer heat. Look for cool nights when it's roasting at the bottom of the mountain. It's no frills and if you want fancy hookups, bathrooms, and stores you will be disappointed. The peace is the location and proximity to trails. We've even seen bears in the middle of the road. When you're done take the dirt road down to Cherokee.

Beautiful, clean, and quiet campground. No showers, but very clean bathrooms with pipped in running spring water.

Beautiful spot. Extremely pleasant hosts. Incredible experience. Temperature was perfect. Lots of wildlife. I really can't describe how wonderful our stay was.

Went here this August. Place was crowded which was a surprise as it is pretty secluded. Sites range from level to crazy angles. The positive was the location is simply gorgeous.

Primitive camping but clean and well maintained. It's really smoky up there!
