Great museum. You actually get to see what life was like more than a century ago. The preservation is up to par. It is a good place for families as kids can run around too. It's also at the beginning (or end) of the river trail which is nice in itself.

I am a sucker for homesteading and self-reliance. We drove past this on our way to a cabin to the north and left early a few days later just to walk this place. SO GLAD WE DID! It is so amazing to see how independent and self-sustaining this homestead could have been. My children love the barn, cobb house, and pig pen. I loved the blacksmithing, apple orchard, and log cabin. Just beautiful!

Really neat plave. My 6 yr old also enjoyed it.

This is a quick outdoor visit and excellent for young kids to explore and run around. Great depiction of mountain farm life at the turn of the century.

Very nice example of an old homestead. Bonus was getting to see the elk come down off the mountain.
