I love coming to Cherokee,NC. I would love to see Unto These Hills but I keep missing the date. My mother is from Waynesville,NC and my mom and dad brought us when we were children to Cherokee and loved every bit of then. I still enjoy coming up there.

The actors were great. The history lesson was amazing. Just be sure to bring earplugs and a Xanax if you have one handy. It's extremely loud and the canon and gunfire was not good for my nerves. Also, the dancing was more ballet than authentic Native dances. But it's relatively cheap and the the history is enlightening. I recommend seeing this after touring the museum.

Nice setting with a great story to tell. Lacked Authenticity. Would have preferred real Indians doing real Indian dances, rather than ballet and classical dance moves by non-Indians. Would have liked to have seen more Native Americans playing their parts in all age groups, young & old. It needs an injection of genuine Cherokee Indians playing their parts in History.

We had a great time. Be sure to be prepared to walk and climb steps. Very steep. Alot of handicap parking for those who need it. Relaxing environment. They have a snack bar. Bring an umbrella if it's sunny.. Best to go at the 8pm showing...

Excellent performance and story. Very sad tho and I teared up a little. I paid extra for front row seats but it wasn't necessary as every seat is a good one and the farther down u are, the longer it takes to get out. . The speakers were right in front of us and it was way too loud. Paying extra got us a red bag with stale popcorn and warm water but also a soda with souvenir cup and book. We decided not to go early so we parked Way far up a couple of parking lots and it took awhile to get out of the place so just be patient. I went about 10 yrs ago and it's def more theatrical in nature.
