We love this place. We've been there twice so far this year! The owners are great people, and they do a fantastic job of keeping the Campground clean. There's a small shop to buy food, and fishing gear, and the bathhouse is always kept clean, and there's always super hot water
Absolutely Love This Place!! It's beautiful. The sites are secluded and very peaceful. No noise policy from 10 - 8 so we weren't bothered by loud, drunken campers or those who get up early and noisily.
I am fortunate to have come from a good and decent family, a family where honor and integrity is highly valued and expected, and treating others with respect and consideration is a must, and I have trouble understanding the bizarre and shabby behavior we were subjected to, with the owner taking no responsibility for his behavior and offering no apology for his mistreatment of us. I hate it that my son had to experience and feel the hurt of having an adult falsely accuse him of a crime, and then not apologize. Pathetic!
One of our best tent camping experience. Site was #60 on the river....the most private of all. Store had everything you may have forgotten. Staff fabulous. Other sites for family gatherings along the river too.
We absolutely love camping here! So quiet and serene and all the staff are so helpful. Going this weekend (3rd Halloween in a row here) and will definitely be back next year! Great Job Guys!
I can't emphasize enough how much I love going here. Get a site along the creek if possible. Makes for great sleeping!!
The staff is extremely friendly! The bathrooms are very clean!
No class!!! Unfortunately the class Indican Creek had with Bill and Heather departed with Bill and Heather. My son and I have been camping at Indian Creek for 11 years, since he was 4. After I got home this year, Jon (the owner) had left a ranting voicemail falsely accusing us of chopping a tree down and causing tree damage, which was a complete lie. My son and I are not idiots, and if anything we are extreme tree-huggers and were puzzled by the maniacal voicemail. I emailed Indian Creek explaining we had been falsely accused, and suggested they inspect the camp sites after each camper checks out (which Bill and Heather did , and any sensible owner would), but in response, Jon the owner did not respond to my email and subsequently CANCELLED the reservation for a week we had in October with no communication!!!! Bill and Heather were great people and really had class and integrity. Unfortunately those character qualities do not exist with the new owners!
So much for the new owner having basic respect and appreciation for good people and loyal customers! How pathetic!!!!!
Yes - there is no reception - but you're in the mountains. No where in the mountains are you going to get reception. However, this camp site does offer free WiFi. It's 8miles out of Cherokee into the res. which adds to the seclusion and peacefulness.
