Located right off the Blue Ridge parkway and extremely close to the Great Smokey Mountains national park entrance. It is quite with great views. Site was clean on arrival. Restrooms were also clean. Visted May of 2017.
Beautiful views from almost every campsite. Very friendly people, both campers and staff. You buy your wood from them (a good amount of wood for $5) and they deliver it to your campsite. My only real complaint would be that the wood we got was a little green, made it hard to get a good fire started.

Amazing, amazing place! We saw the milky way last year. We'll be going again this year as well. No problems with staff; nice folks actually. Folks complaining in reviews of poor customer service are probably in dire need of customer training (as in, customers have a responsibility to be decent humans too). Mile High isn't the Hilton (i.e., no marble bathrooms), nor is it Burger King ("have it your way"), but it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, much less spent the night in.
We REALLY love it here!! Great views, quiet, elk, close enough to town to get supplies, hot showers, and friendly staff!!! Been twice and looking forward to a third trip!
