We arrived in the evening, and no one was there to tell us where to camp. We just picked out a site ourselves. When you reserve a space in advance, you aren't given a particular site; it's first come, first serve. We weren't impressed by the care taken of the campground. The trash in the bathroom was never emptied, the toilet paper and paper towels ran out, the grass wasn't mowed. The women's bathroom has a water leak that causes a constant musty smell. The picnic tables at the sites are old and uncared for. There was poison ivy all around our site. Despite all that, the natural beauty of the river and trees helped make up for the lack of human caretaking.
That being said, they do not have RV hookups. Bathrooms and water available.
I've been going here for over ten years now, and it will forever have a place in my heart. The owner used to go around and tell stories around the campfires. The stars at night are beautiful. I will be back as long as they're open for business. Riverside camping at its finest!
I just hope I can go back this year...
No dogs allowed and dirty bathroom. Owner was nice.
